Research Review

 We extensively reviewed how to apply the methodology, define the terms, perform analysis, and communicate effectively. The class was executed exceptionally well. I learned how to think analytically about text and how to conduct research. I needed some help explaining my data analysis section. I did well in most of the other areas. The assignment sheet provided essential organizational questions and statements. Everything I needed to convey in my research paper was outlined in the assignment sheet, making the writing process much less daunting. I learned all the different components of a research proposal. I learned that I am going to have to develop my analytical thinking skills, which takes time and practice. I learned that research takes patience and critical thinking skills. I am going to need to practice and be patient as a technical writer to develop my analytical thinking skills further. Revision Process

 I want to address the mechanical issues in my literature review. To do so, I need to cite and synthesize my sources properly, format my APA citations correctly, and rearrange some of my content into more appropriate sections. I also want to reread my sources to ensure that my claims align with what has already been said. I deviated from the requirements because I tried to explain my interpretations instead of properly acknowledging the available sources. I did an excellent job of informing and bringing to light relevant points, but the review was a discovery process. I needed to differentiate between a typical research paper and a lit review, which takes experience and learning. I am planning to rewrite the review before incorporating it into the proposal.

Research Gap

 After analyzing a selection of sources discussing the use of AI chatbots in crisis communication, I found little information on patient preference between engaging with either AI or a healthcare professional. The findings of using ChatGPT to respond to questions regarding suicide showed that ChatGPT provided resources but ultimately referred the patient to a healthcare representative; this suggests the limitations of AI in dealing with mental health. Patients preferred to speak with a healthcare representative instead of an automated service when giving personal information to a crisis call center; there needs to be a mention of whether those patients would've preferred an automated system to respond to crisis questions. An opportunity to utilize qualitative and quantitative research to determine whether patients prefer to speak with a chatbot to deal with a crisis such as suicide remains. Literature Review

  In this literature review, I will explain how AI generates automated messages and how those automated messages convey information for crisis support. This review explores usability and how patients interact with AI and demonstrates how AI facilitates crisis communication for mental health. This review incorporates technical knowledge into AI and mental health communication using the example of chatbots conveying information to patients.       I have many aspirations for this course. I think that my creative mind has allowed me the ability to conjure content, but I now must determine the validity and relevance of that content. I want to explore the world of AI and the realm of mental health.  I intend to learn research techniques such as the "interpretivist" research goal. I want to analyze the way humans interact with technology, particularly AI. I also want to learn how to process and write complex text. For my topic, I believe the  Qualitative method would be the best option.
